Difference Between "Big" and "Large"

Big: “Big” can describe all types of things which are measured by size or even something that is abstract. For example, we would say “it’s not a big deal” instead of “it’s not a large deal”.

Large: “Large” usually describes the things in length and breadth. And most of time “large” is used with quantity words. For example: We would say “The large numbers of people” or “A large volume of data” instead of "The big numbers of people" or "A big volume of data".
